How to measure your project

Ordering a DIY kit? Kits are cut to the measurements you give us, so measure carefully. Find the figure below that looks most like your project and write down the figure number along with your dimensions (A, B, C, etc.). You will need them when you request your quote.

MAXIMUM SPAN

Span can be increased by adding support or fan beams. In snow areas, spans will be shorter.

MAXIMUM DISTANCE BETWEEN POSTS

10′ is the maximum distance between posts. This can be increased to 30′ using aluminum I-beams. When posts exceed 12′ in height (above ground), steel posts must be used in place of standard aluminum.

Note: on freestanding covers, posts must be 2′ below ground.
